Challenge: Brownrigg Construction is a small, tight-knit team focused on residential renovations—roofing, flooring, kitchens, baths, and beyond. They came to me wanting to separate themselves from the sea of indistinct local contractors. The brief was clear: build a brand that communicates trust, reliability, partnership, and honest pricing—while also showing off their down-to-earth sense of humor. They needed a visual identity that felt confident and professional, yet approachable, with enough personality to make people remember the name.
Solution: I developed a brand identity that balances strength with warmth. The logo features bold, architectural typography paired with a circular saw emblem—instantly evoking craftsmanship and grit. The color palette draws from construction materials (steel, slate, clay, timber) with a fresh “sky” blue accent for lift and approachability. Core values like humor and partnership are brought to life through playful ad copy, cheeky T-shirts, and attention-grabbing yard signs. Supporting textures, typefaces, and real-world applications work together to create a cohesive system that’s every bit as reliable—and memorable—as the crew behind it.
